👕 What to Wear & Bring

  • Swimsuit (must wear under school clothes to school – no changing rooms available)
  • Shirt to wear over swimsuit (dri-fit, white cotton, or purchased 8th Grade Party T-shirt)
  • Towel
  • Flip-flops or Crocs (for pool)
  • Athletic shoes (for games)
  • Sunscreen & bug spray (optional)
  • Small labeled bag for belongings

🍽️Food & Drinks – provided by PTA

  • Chick-fil-A sandwich
  • Chips & Snacks
  • Gatorade and Water
  • If your child has food allergies, please send them with lunch

🙋 Volunteers

  • Apply or verify eligibility at portal.neisd.net/volunteer
  • Volunteers must complete the DPS clearance process through the district
  • Parents should submit their application or verify eligibility as soon as possible (processing may take up to a week)
  • Volunteer participation is essential to make the event successful!

👕 Dress Guidelines

  • Shorts, shirts, and footwear must comply with the NEISD dress code
  • Denim cutoff shorts are not allowed
  • Cotton t-shirts worn in the pool must be white only to protect the pool; dri-fit shirts can be any color. 8th Grade Party shirts are available for purchase. Purchase an 8th Grade Party shirt HERE
  • A swimsuit must be worn under the shirt throughout the entirety of the party
  • Swimsuits must provide proper coverage:
    • No two-piece swimsuits for females
    • No speedo-type swimwear for males
  • Bring an extra t-shirt to change into after swimming
  • If a faculty member determines that swimwear is inappropriate or non-compliant, students may be given a t-shirt to place over the swimwear
  • Students not following dress guidelines will not be allowed to participate

📝 Permission Slips & Transportation

  • Permission slips were distributed in 8th Grade English classes on Monday, March 16th
  • Return permission slips by May 8, 2026
  • NEISD will provide bus transportation to and from the Sports Park
  • Students will not be dismissed from the park unless approved by Lopez administration
  • Did you misplace your permission slip? Print a copy HERE

🎒 Other Details

  • Label all items with first and last name
  • No lockers available; personal items must stay in bags
  • Electronic devices (phones, cameras, etc.) and valuables are discouraged
    • Lopez personnel, PTA, and parent chaperones are not responsible for lost, stolen, or damaged items
  • If your child receives ISS before the party, they will not be able to participate. Please remind your child, there are no exceptions!

  • Wear your 8th Grade Party T-shirt, if purchased
  • Bring swimsuit, sunscreen, towel, shoes for pool and sports
  • Parent volunteers and snack donations are key to making this a success!
